Parking!

As many of you know, the wedding ceremony and reception will be taking place on private property. For that reason, there is not much room for parking. The neighbours have kindly agreed to let us use some of their driveway, but still there is not a lot of space. We ask that all guests consider this when figuring out vehicles and rides to the wedding.  If it is at all possible, please try carpooling with others you know will be attending.  We really appreciate your help with this! We hope it does not inconvenience any of you! 

It will be helpful for you to know that there will be signs and people directing you to the parking area. Also, the neighbours driveway is not too far from the wedding site, but guests will be required to walk in. Someone will direct you to a parking spot and then it takes a couple minutes to walk in to the wedding site itself. If you are unable to walk this distance, for whatever reason, please let us know.

Again, we encourage you to just ask if you have any questions or concerns! We do not want this to be a complication or hassle for anyone! Just don’t text me the morning of my wedding! Haha!

Hotel - Lakeside Inn Best Western

I just wanted to let everyone know very quickly that Mom was super helpful in talking to the Lakeside Inn Best Western Hotel in Kenora. Although I may be saying this too late, if you choose to stay at this hotel, let them know you are in Kenora for the Janke/Walker wedding and they will give you their wedding rate. I am not sure what rate they can give you, but I wanted to let everyone know as it may be worth looking into.

Wedding Attire

The wedding is coming up in 31 days! We are getting more and more excited to see you all there! Feel free to dress up and look your best, but please be aware that this is an outdoor wedding. We encourage everyone to dress accordingly as we want you to be as comfortable as possible. We suggest a light sweater or jacket for the evening and for unpredictable weather. Ladies, consider passing on the spiked heels for the day. Men, especially if the weather is hot, don’t feel the need to wear your jacket and tie for the whole day.
